Branding

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Create a brand and marketing plan for that brand

Intern project for Populus Brands
This project introduces and teaches interns the various aspects of entertainment marketing which is the company’s work.

SOLUTION

The interns decided to create a brand from the “company dog“ Henry. Henry was a shelter dog who was adopted by Populus Brand’s CEO. We likened Henry to other celebrity animals on social media, but he would have a purpose. Behind all the fun and daily shenanigans, his life would be an example of how he is able to live this full life because he was fortunate to be adopted. There are many other shelter animals who are not as lucky and are put down if they are not adopted. Henry wishes for his fellow shelter animals to have the same opportunity of living a full life and for them to be adopted. Henry was given a superhero persona which best reflected his mission to help those who are less fortunate.

I was chosen to be the lead for this project. My work was to create the look and character of the brand. This included creating logo variations, branding, and website; I also created and managed the social media accounts. I created the first draft of the branding guidelines for Henry to the Rescue which dictated what the brand was about and how it should be used.

Our intern group were the ones who started this project and laid the foundation. This project is an ongoing project for future groups of interns at Populus Brands to introduce and teach interns the various aspects of entertainment marketing which is the company’s work. As one of the interns who started the project and know it best, I continue to consult interns on the project.
