PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Semi-lyric video of "Ten Duel Commandments" from the musical, Hamilton. This was my first full piece of work done in Adobe® After Effects® (CC 2015).

SOLUTION

I wanted to have all the elements reside as a part of a bigger collage so that they could interact with each other. (Ex. The dove flying and dying over a span of three segments.) Also while panning, you can catch glimpses of previously introduced elements. I did not want the video to be completely lyrical (typographic). Throughout the video, I had to decide what would be typographic or illustrative depending on which would capture the energy and visually tell the narrative of the song most effectively.
